Real Nice Winemakers crafts memorable wines at a price that makes sense

The idea for Real Nice Winemakers started with a request from our sommelier friends who work at some of the best restaurants in the country. They asked us to create wines representative of Oregon’s Willamette Valley that over-deliver on quality, for the price. We spent the last decade working on this and leaned heavily on our experience working in wineries in Burgundy, New Zealand, Australia, Napa, and of course, Oregon.

The most important task in winemaking is to secure great fruit. We were able to lock up two amazing blocks from the Hyland Vineyard, one of the oldest and most renowned vineyards in the Valley.  Hyland was first planted in 1972, only 7 years after the first vine was planted in the Willamette Valley. These were very early days for the pioneers of the Oregon wine industry.  It was a back-bone vineyard for early Oregon producers throughout the 70’s and 80’s. Today Hyland is the epitome of old school Oregon wine growing, with its wide rows, dry farming practices, and non-grafted vines. Hyland Vineyard changed hands from the original family about 10 years ago and now it is farmed for the highest quality using organic and biodynamic farming practices.

Our team has stayed small to ensure we can offer the best quality wine at a price everyone can enjoy.  We share space in a state of the art winery in Dundee to keep our costs down. We do not have layers of management, expensive overhead, or any extravagant spending on advertising. We are so appreciative of the amazing response that our wines have produced so far, and continue to work hard to make fabulous Oregon wine at prices that make everyone happy!
